MacDermid’s Anti-Fluting Plate Technology receives InterTech Technology Award.
MacDermid Graphics Solutions has won the 2018 InterTech Technology Award for its Anti-Fluting Plate Technology for Corrugated from Printing Industries of America (PIA). The InterTech Technology Award honours technologies that are truly innovative and are expected to advance the performance of the graphic communications industry.
“The judges were impressed with the plate engineering and reduction of process steps,” said Jim Workman, Vice President of PIA’s Center for Technology and Research. “Most importantly, it results in more appealing graphics since image distortion from corrugated flutes is reduced.”
“We are incredibly honoured by this recognition from the PIA. Our development team continues to focus heavily on innovative new plate technologies, and this type of acknowledgement helps show the progress that we’ve made,” stated Ryan Vest, Global Director of Innovation.
Since 1978, the InterTech Technology Awards have honoured technologies predicted to shape the future of print and graphics communications. Past honourees have introduced entirely new products and services that have revolutionized ways of working and enabled printers to operate more efficiently. “MacDermid is excited to join this prestigious group of honourees and to create more disruptive innovations for the future of print,” concludes Ryan.
